Hello.
This is me, Aleta Bon in February 2014.
I have decided to shave off all of my hair to
raise funds for the Australian Leukaemia Foundation.
morning tea from 9.30am, where a hairdresser
will shave my auburn locks.
I am asking you to help me support the
Leukaemia Foundation - who provide free support to families with blood cancer and
provide funds for research.
Please donate money, shave with me, Spread the Word and/or
come
along on the day.
My heart goes out to every family ever affected by life changing news such as having Leukaemia. As a Mama, my heart breaks every time I hear a child needs to undergo a medical procedure without really understanding, 'Why'? I am in awe of the parents that are strong enough to hold their child's hand through it all. I am filled with respect for all those affected, who are able to take the steps to get through each day.
The Leukaemia Foundation do what they can to help every step of the way. Such as providing counselling, transport and accommodation.
I hope that the length and thickness of my hair can influence the amount I am able
to raise for this beneficial charity. I am a little nervous, but hair
grows back! And I believe fundraising for this cause means so much more.
Whatever your financial situation, please remember - even the smallest amounts can add up to something big! In Australia a $2+ donation is tax deductable.
I'm hopeful that my action will inspire folk to give generously or better yet,
join the cause
too and do their own fundraising.
Thank you sooo much!
FACT:: Today, 31 Australians will get the news they have blood
cancer.
In America that number is 46.
Your donation will help the Leukaemia Foundation to fund its
important work
– providing practical and emotional support to people
with blood cancer,
as well as investing millions in research.
Thank You
