Banksia Nut Spiky Hedgehog

Another craft activity Mr Turtle discovered for himself.

After being given the gift of some spiny Banksia nuts.

"Mama, can I please use some pins?" was all I heard when we came home from a visit with some beautiful friends of ours.

 Little Pipkin joined in.

Within minutes we had a couple of (slightly messy) creatures being played with both indoors and out.

Although I'd prefer to say echidna, they really do look much more like those sweet Northern Hemisphere critters, don't you think?
