Quick Apple Crumble

My children invaribly ask for 'something for dessert?', every other night.
Ordinarily it's natural yoghurt & berries or similar, (like our 'raspberry mousse'), but tonight I preempted the question and we made a quick Apple Crumble.

The boys set to work on the apples, while I got the topping ready.
It really only took about 10mins max.
(recipe below)

When they'd finished with the apples, they ate the skins
(extremely fun they tell me).

Quick Apple Crumble Recipe

Apple Mix:
1T honey
1/2t cinnamon
1/2t vanilla
3  apples

Topping:
1/2cup muesli (ours is a raw mix of oats, nuts, sultanas & seeds)
1T Spelt flour
1t rapadura sugar (adjust to your own taste)
1t mixed spice
1T butter ~soft

Method:
I find the crumble cooks more quickly and better if the apple mixture is heated first. Not cooked completely, but stirred over a med heat until the apple begins to cook. Then transfer to the crumble dish.
Rub all ingredients for the topping between your fingers until it resembles wet sand.
Spread the topping over the cooked apple and cook in a moderate oven for about 20mins.

Are you noticing a pattern with my recipes?
They're generally Healthy, Fast, Nourishing & doable with Little Fingered helpers!

I hope you enjoyed this one.
